NPTN STUDENT NEWS NETWORK Here is a chance for your school to contribute electronic editions of your school newspaper. The text of each edition needs to be distilled into a single file containing not more than 15-20 K of information. Students are also encouraged to be an EYE WITNESS NEWS REPORTER to a event local to you. Are you having an earthquake or a major fire or a flood or perhaps a war in your area? Tell others about the event. Share your feelings along with the facts. Allow others to share your first-hand experience through your report. We are seeking reports from events all over the world. Here is an opportunity to create a student news service if you take advantage of it. Readers may ask additional questions of those who have submitted newspapers or news stories. Students or classes may discuss current events in this area, as well. Please post your news stories, questions, and/or discussion to the newsgroup labeled SUBMISSION AND DISCUSSION OF THE NEWS. News items will be deleted from the newsgroup after seven days. Summaries of discussions and examples of outstanding news submissions may be moved to the gopher site for longer periods of storage. Items will be deleted from the gopher site after longer periods of time and at the discretion of the sysop. Thank you for participating in this project.
