About the Teacher's Lounge:

  The Teacher's Lounge is designed as a special resource for
parents, teachers, librarians, and administrators.  
  The DAILY REPORT CARD is an eight-page executive briefing on 
America's progress toward better schools.
  The CURRICULAR DATABASE contains over 500 lesson plans written
by teachers.  This database is constantly growing and allows
teachers to continue to share what works.
  The NEW PROJECT ANNOUNCEMENTS contains postings on
telecommunications projects done on the networks.  We will
announcement projects that are done by other networks in an
effort to meet the diverse needs of our educators and students.
  The PEDIATRIC ILLNESS DATABASE contains information on 25
childhood illnesses for school personnel and parents.
  The TEACHER EDUCATION CENTER discusses the art of teaching, the
integration of technology into the classroom, provides tips for
novice teachers and experienced users alike, and posts a calendar
of conferences and upcoming events.
  The SPECIAL PROGRAMS is an area where isolated educators and
students can come together electronically to discuss special
needs and share resources.  These programs are geared to meet
their  common needs at the national level.  The local needs are
kept on the local affiliate systems.
