If you are confused by this book, you are reading it all wrong. It *isn't* a
book: it's a workbook. You are intended to use the text as a guide, while you
work with the text editor, HTTP (HyperText Transfer Protocol) server and Web
browser to explore and experiment.
(I have only two quibbles with this plan. The CD-ROM includes HTTP servers for
only Solaris, Windows NT and the Mac. Also, Morris assumes the use of the
Mosaic browser: I would recommend the use of a number of graphical and text
browsers in order to see the differences between them.)
While Morris very definitely knows HTML (HyperText Markup Language) inside and
out, there don't seem to be many examples and such as do exist are illustrated
as they appear on-screen. Without the relevant source code.
For the workstation crowd, this is an excellent hands-on introduction.
Business types, though, should be warned--don't be fooled by the "for Profit"
designation. This is for techies.
