While he gives an excellent set of resources for the advanced student of neural nets and fuzzy logic, the book is unsuitable for the beginner, whatever the title may imply. Which is a great pity. One of the failings of introductory books on the topics is the lack of provision for "hands-on" experimentation. Most books require that you know C or have access to a Smalltalk system. Ironically, Korn's book includes a simulation program which will run on 286 and higher CPUs (with math co-processors). copyright Robert M.
