NBN health service for war veterans

Chronically ill war veterans will have their health monitored at home
through technology driven by the NBN - at least if they live in connected
districts. The Government will launch an $8 million trial of the technology
to support chronic care management.

 

The NBN's high-capacity broadband should improve how health services are
delivered to the veteran community. Vital statistics will be monitored from
home, and veterans will also have access to high-definition video
consultations with their GP or nurse coordinator.
