Internet Society is exploring the possible creation of new ISOC
Chapters in Canada, either as province/territory based Chapters or as a
larger Chapter. The motivation for this is to provide enhanced
opportunities for ISOC members to become involved in issues important
to their local community. You might be aware that there is only one
ISOC Chapter in Canada, namely in Québec (<a moz-do-not-send="true"
href="http://www.isocquebec.org"
style="color: blue; text-decoration: underline;" target="_blank">http://www.isocquebec.org</a>),
at the moment. Other ISOC Chapters in Canada went dormant and were
closed. </span></p>

true ‘multi-stakeholder’ group. It takes time and effort to run a
successful Chapter and a strong team is therefore needed, ideally
composed of individuals from many different stakeholder organizations.</span></p>
