programs for digital inclusion in order to assure that all Canadians can =
use and have access to technologies in constant evolution.

access program (PAC) and its youth initiative (IJ-PAC), the Internet =
community access centers are at the core of an immense national network =
of places that every year, help hundreds of thousands of people to =
integrate new technologies into their lives. These centers and their =
young coordinators offer training courses for different software, help =
with job searching, offer access to several services as well as an =
opportunity for better cultural integration.

> Working within both public and private sectors, due to an experienced =
personnel, the centers also offer several complementary services that =

Thus, the thousands of young interns that take part in the IJ-PAC =
project acquire a unique experience that allows them to become active =
citizens.

> In a world where Internet access is vital in all dimensions of life, =
the need for digital inclusion programs is growing. The Internet =
community access centers are at the heart of the population's =
appropriation of technologies. They are the privileged witnesses which =
prove that digital literacy contributes to better health (remote access =
medical assistance and access to medical information), contributes to =
economic development (electronic business and online purchases) and =
facilitates the growth of individuals and groups (remote training, =
international collaboration, access to culture).

cannot satisfy the needs of the population alone.

and access to medical information), contributes to economic development =
(electronic business and online purchases) and facilitates the growth of =
individuals and groups (remote training, international collaboration, =
