The last conference in this series was held in Amsterdam and a close
colleague/friend attended and attempted to participate in the equivalent
effort towards "a Global Digital Society Action Plan that will establish
principles aimed at maximizing the potential that digital technologies =

unlock across diverse sectors and institutions"...

As I recall (and it was four years ago so my memory is a bit fuzzy on =
the
details, he and some other civil society folks tried to actually =
participate
in this and were frustrated to the point of setting up there own session
which produced a separate document.. (I remember circulating this to =
this
group at the time pointing out that the next meeting would be in =
Montreal...

It might be useful to engage him in this discussion if there is any =
interest
in moving forward on this in a co-ordinated fashion.
