[Advisors] CIRA -- looking for supporters

Good morning all.  I am once again running for election to the CIRA 
(Canadian Internet Registration Authority) board of directors.  I 
believe it is one of the few places left, given the intransigence of the 
current government on internet policy, where one can have an impact 
(albeit indirectly) on internet policy -- national and international.  
The last two times I did this, I was within a few votes of winning, so 
this is worth the effort.  It also provides a forum to air some of the 
issues which concerns us all.

As usual, I will need the support of 20 CIRA members to stay on the the 
slate of candidates for the actual election which starts on Sept. 10. 
So, if you are already a CIRA member, please follow the directions under 
"show support" below and help keep me on that list.

Do let me know if you have completed this process.  A bizarre change in 
the rules means I can no longer keep track of how many supporters I have.

To vote in this year's elections, you must have applied for membership 
before Aug. 27th.  Once activated, your membership does not run out.
