I don’t have to apologize for the price I’ve paid battling with Industry Canada.  Having occupied the no man’s land between the political and bureaucratic arms of public service for most of my working life, I have often been pleasantly surprised to find dedicated people in government who can make things work in spite of the realities they face.  My own approach has always been - if the frame sucks, change the frame.  But I admire people who are practiced within the frame and then they add one more note.  There is creativity even in the current frame where the public seems to agree with the destruction of public administration.
