An interesting piece (but ultimately inconclusive) that covers much of the ground we have been discussing

Am I naive in having hope that Justin has a bit of his father in him? That "change is more then electioneering"? If we are to recover from the miasma and cynicism of the Harper monarchy, do we not need the strength of faith in Canadian democracy?

Any organization involving a juggernaut like McKesson is a formidable force. But that's what a good democratic government is for: to strike a balance between the various interests. And yet, someone must represent the vox populi. Who will that be?

And I thought I was the terminal cynic....

Be safe,

Gary

We can either choose now to advocate for change to the CRTC, or wait and complain fruitlessly when CATA solidifies its influence with the new government.

On Wednesday we are going to see the new Cabinet and that will reveal how the new ministries are defined and aligned. It is unlikely we’ll be happy, but our strategy has to be based on wysiwyg.

However, the lobby group we have to watch (although you can’t), isn’t CATA. It’s the one for all the bigger high tech players, the one that has such close access that they don’t have to yap about it - ITAC. <http://itac.ca/regular-members/>
