Hello advisors. CIRA is asking for input to the following survey. It is
primarily to inform decisions around the community improvement program.
I have responded on behalf of Telecommunities Canada. But I would
encourage as many of you as possible to take the 1/2 (maybe a bit more)
hour to give your input either on behalf of your organization or as an
individual. You all have perspectives that are unique in this area. And
if you don't share them, they won't be on the table.
And don't be afraid to think outside of the categories provided. Most of
what I wanted to say ended up in the text boxes -- not in rating one
thing over another.

Good morning/afternoon,
I’m writing to you today on behalf of the Canadian Internet Registration
Authority (CIRA) to ask for your participation in an online survey that
that we are conducting about the state of Canada’s internet. I believe
your organization is a good fit to lend your voice to these issues/.
/This qualitative survey is linked below, and focuses on digital
literacy, internet infrastructure, access and funding. We want to learn
about progress and challenges in these areas and are reaching out to
experts like you to help us tell this story.
Please click here to take the survey

About this survey and the results
This qualitative survey can take up to 25 minutes to complete, though
there are sections you may wish to skip. The survey will remain open
until February 2, 2018. Participants can remain anonymous or may choose
to self-identify at the end of the survey. We plan to produce a public
report on our findings in June. All participants who self-identify will
receive an advanced copy of the report and additional details about the
survey results. Our hope is that our report will garner the attention of
the Canadian public, media and policy makers and enhance a national
discussion on issues related to Canada’s internet.
