Hello advisors. The Ryerson Lab has released its report on digital
divides. Many of our group participated in these discusses and thereby
contributed to this report. And, of course, we did speak to the
organizers at one of our meetings. I wonder what would be a mechanism to
move any of these recommendations forward.

👩‍💻 Overcoming Digital Divides A New Technology Report + What's New at
the Lab

*New Report*

In 2021, with the Brookfield Institute for Innovation and
Entrepreneurship, First Nations Technology Council, and Simon Fraser
University’s Public Square, we held a six-part workshop series
<https://ryersonleadlab.us17.list-manage.com/track/click?u=429c95f66c1b7eeb794c57e75&id=869032c7ed&e=12603ac674>
that explored the *challenges and solutions to close Canada’s digital
divides and expand meaningful digital inclusion for all people*.

This *new report *summarizes the main themes and findings from the
series, and shares new data from Statistics Canada’s latest survey.

We find that*the digital divide in Canada *is not just an urban-rural
infrastructure problem: rather, *digital exclusion is driven by a series
of divides* correlated with socio-economic and demographic factors.
