[Advisors] Ukraine and the Internet

Dear Colleagues. You might be wondering whether, since banking sector 
can cut ties with Russia, will the Internet follow suit. ICANN does 
manage the root system, so there have been formal requests from the 
Ukraine to do this. The ICANN community has been and continues to 
discuss this, but the overwhelming majority feels that no good would 
come of such a move. In fact, it would be a dangerous precedent. Below 
is a response by ICANN CEO to the Ukraine regarding their request.

Watching the terrible events unfolding in the Ukraine is heartbreaking. 
May it soon be resolved.
