virtually at the link below.

I have organized another session on the ongoing review of the World
Summit for the Information Society (WSIS) now approaching its 20th
anniversary. This is essentially a UN project but one that legitimized
the idea that the internet should be governed through a multistakeholder
model. The Internet Governance Forum was one outcome and, of course,
governance as currently practiced at ICANN. This is a very revolutionary
idea, that governments should share governance with other stakeholders.
It is still in its evolutionary phase but the WSIS+20 discussions need
to hear from various stakeholders that this form of governance is
important and appropriate. This session on Wednesday will explore how
stakeholders can engage. You are invited to attend but would need to
register. Sometimes these things are livestreamed on youtube. I will let
you know if this will be the case.

*Session Details*
The 2025 review of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS)
implementation is a critical opportunity to reaffirm support for
multistakeholder Internet Governance. At an ICANN76 public forum on the
topic, participants agreed that participation from as many groups as
possible was essential to ensure the future of multistakeholder internet
governance. However, specifics around how such participation might be
organized has yet to be determined. This session would discuss the
process underway and seek out ways various stakeholders could engage in
a process that will move forward in a highly structured multilateral space.
Objective: to update the community on the current stage of the process
and propose intervention strategies that stakeholders might adopt
