<p class="MsoNormal">I wonder if CIRA or another well run ccTLD that is a not for profit could manage .org if ISOC is no longer interested? Full disclosure I was on the CIRA board for many years. I retired from the board a few years ago. Personally I think
it could be a good fit. I can’t see a ccTLD buying it from ISOC but I can see a management contract that paid ISOC a percentage much like the existing PIR contract. The details would be complicated. Would PIR cease to exist? Would the ccTLD run PIR as a subsidiary?
Many questions would need to be answered. The first one would be why does ISOC want to get out of the business?<o:p></o:p></p>
