[bvmusic] Fiddle Camp August 26-29

[Valley Youth Fiddlers]

Hi everyone



You got the gossip, you heard the rumours ... yes it's all true!  There
WILL be a fiddle camp happening in Smithers this year, featuring
instructors old and new, featuring an array of instruments (yes, okay okay,
fiddles too), the cost is heavily subsidized by our very wonderful grant
structures and if there's any way you can get this week off your summer
commitments and into camp, you'll be REALLY happy you did!



*Details ...*

*Dates:*       August 26-29, 2014 (that's Tuesday - Friday)

*Location:*  Camp Caledonia on beautiful Tyhee Lake

*Instructors:*   Gordon Stobbe

                       James Stephens

                       Anne Lindsey

                       Jake Jenne

                       The Fitzgerald Family (well, Tom, Kerry and Julie
Fitzgerald)

*Instruments:*  Fiddle (naturally ...), plus guitar, piano, mandolin, bass,
drums/percussion, flute, cello -- and step-dancing!

*Cost:*           $150 individual, $300 for the whole family!! (yes
really!!!)

*Accommodation:*  tents or dorm-style cabins (bring your own bedding); a
very few 2 and 3-bed rooms may be available.

*Food*:  will be mostly cooperative - there'll be a small cash fee and you
bring stuff to share.  Details soon.
