There has been no word out of Ottawa about the future of CAP. We
don't know if there will be any funding available for fiscal 2008 /'09

There is apparently a revue being conducted, but that is all we know.
During a recent teleconference, Telecommunities Canada, our national
association, discussed ways of getting some publicity about the issue
started.

One of the idea was to start a group on the Facebook social networking
site called "Save Community Access"

If any of you or your patrons are members of Facebook already, here is
the information on joining the group:

If you are not already a member of Facebook, you might want to
consider joining. The number of people in the group is important.
The idea was put forward partly because a group was started recently
on Canadian copyright policy which was very successful and helped to
delay implementation of new rules that many people felt were too
restrictive.
