2008-2009 Federal & Provincial elections – Deputy
Returning Officer for Elections Canada.
2008-2009
Residential construction contractor / subcontractor. – siding (hardi,
vinyl), demolition, tool repair, mechanic.
2005-2006 Canadian Action Party's Esquimalt-Juan de Fuca
candidate for federal election.
This campaign effort significantly expanded public debate
during a pivotal federal election, and offered important new choices to
Canadians to better cope with the massive dislocations that are now faced as
the world approaches the end of the conventional oil era.
1997-2006 eNews Insights -- editor of email news gleaning service.
In reviewing hundreds of news articles daily, from investigative sources worldwide, I provided an indispensable public service for monitoring Canada's mainstream media monopoly. Thus important information being under-reported or even avoided by the media was readily identified and forwarded to my subscription list. Even though this service proved invaluable during this profound time in Canada’s history, reliance upon donations as a sole source of income was inadequate.
1986-2009 Conscripted as a Big Brother watcher.
Therefore developed an intense security mindedness (and some effective privacy protection hardware).
1985-89 Political education hiatus – at the UofT stacks, in order to confirm and develop instinctual conclusions of the cause
of crime and human predation.

1978-1986 The Professional Builder Inc. -- office manager of residential construction firm with dozens of employees.
My duties were diverse, ranging from the actual startup (the formulation and registration of the articles of incorporation) to the corporate tax strategy and year-end returns.
1975 -1978
Whitby Free Press & TV Facts -- advertising sales, design &
promotion.
1973-1975 D. Piney Enterprises -- owner/technician general repairs.
Accumulating skills at the time, naturally led to a repair and renovation business -- which continues today as required. I tackled virtually any project as it arose, including most aspects of building construction and renovation, etc., as well as comprehensive repairs or rebuilds to mechanical, electrical or electronic equipment (vehicles, small engines, appliances, etc.) I also learned automotive bodywork, metal fabrication and welding skills. The value of this diverse background cannot be overestimated. I became proficient at most trades as a result, which naturally facilitates problem solving innovation: an important hallmark of my life.
1969-1972 Off-track betting -- administration.
Beginning as a store clerk, while recovering from injuries at the racetrack, I graduated to area supervisor and opened and ran new stores in North Bay, Lindsay, and Peterborough Ontario. I eventually became supervisor of the betting operation -- flying to various thoroughbred tracks daily throughout Ontario -- and thus became accustomed to working with large amounts of cash under extreme time constraints. However, politicians decided to end the off-track betting industry in Canada.
1967-1969 Thoroughbred racehorses -- jockey, horseman.
Blessed with a small stature and natural ability -- through early exposure to horses -- my career as jockey was a given since childhood. Thus I dropped out of school, when old enough, to travel the racetrack and rodeo circuits. I’ve remained in touch with those roots, and thus have accumulated a lifetime of horsemanship prowess, including shoeing and comprehensive veterinary skills for example.
