This photo of the Roswell museum's raison d'etre was presented as National Geographic's centerfold in its millennium issue January 2000, in appropriate celebration of the most amazing occurrences of the past century.
That this world renown prestigious institution would stoop to cheap sensationalism or outright senseless guile is beyond reason. After all, is there any other rational explanation for NASA's tremendous effort to explore our solar system as thoroughly as it has for extraterrestrial life? Especially considering the astronomical cost and the sheer remoteness of the possibility? It simply wouldn't have even been considered without the Roswell crash find.
"Welcome neighbour!" (I must admit though, you're gonna take some getting used to.)
You You poor little bugger! You
sure ended up a long way from home."
