The GravWeb Template for Webworlds
This is What Earth looks like in a Traveller or
Gurps Space Campaign:
the old icosahedral map
all folded up.
GENERAL DIMENSION: Earthlike
Project: Gravweb
Designers: Gary Hayman (AKA David E. Hayman), any other takers?
Member Cluster: I have been told that this world is a cluster.
Worlds: Thousands that are all part of the one world.
Genre: What are you capable of imagining?
Baseline: Gravweb is a huge collection of planets, gas giants, and
asteroids woven together by several ancient peoples. These worlds are
connected by atmosphere streamers if in a small cluster, across the
dimensions using hyperspace conduits, or if not by space ship.
CONNECTIONS:
One must have a full understanding of Hyperspace
and
Quantum dimensionality to answer this one. I haven't met any one who
has.
TECHNOLOGY:
Tech Level Range: 0 - 14
Maximum Tech Level: 14
Exceed Max Tech: equipment Malfunction
Special Notes: Interplanar/Intercluster tech fails once here.
MAGIC:
Magic systems:
New Spell:
Mana Siphon
Mana can be drawn from the environment, if you know how.
Mana Level: Depends on the environment
Magic Restrictions: as above
Special Notes: Magic is aspected, Sources of Mana energy could be
Tectonic plate faults, Familiars, Sacrifices (expect to be lynched by
the locals), Waterfalls (Earthshakers), and other powerful natural
forces that release energy.
PSIONICS:
Indiginous levels: Depends on species
Max Level: Depends on species / If outsiders use power levels above 5
they get headaches.
Psionic Restrictions: Depends on species
Special Notes: Psionics are aspected depending upon the history of the
region you are in. Don't expect to heal someone Psionically if you are
on the site of a truely bloody battle. Of course If you are on the
site of place that was a hospital for a few hundred thousand years
expect major bonuses to skill.
RACES:
Sentient species - Many local, some from other dimensions **
Denizens: Local sentients - 19 greater Sentients, 102 lesser Sentients,
Many protosentients. The Greater Sentient species in order appearance
are:

allowed:
Of course, Tis the spice of life - besides in a world this big
genetic drift can go a long way. Any serious proposals will be
considered since outsiders are often trapped here.
SYNOPSIS:
Hyperspace technology can be used to connect adjoining worlds.
Some of the worlds in the GravWeb are connected via small
jumpgates. A jumpgate will exchange pockets of realspace through a
hyperspace conduit. Many the worlds in the GravWeb are so connected.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS:
Multi-Planar: Yes that is possible with advanced hyperspace technology
