Some letters are written by Edmund Joseph's sister Dorothy Ann MOON.

A letter dated Aug 15 only - without a year, from Sarah's aunt Dorothy Moon,
at Mrs.T(N?)ickell's, Barras St, Liskeard. I gleen the year to be after 1863, the year that Chas Moon,
son of Henry John, died.
This letter makes reference to:
- Edith Thompson married Dr. Drew (sister of Isabella who also writes to Sarah)
- she asks how the children of "your late cousin Charles Moon" are being cared for and if his
wife has remarried.
- she remarks that "your cousin Robert is a confirmed invalid" (possibly son of Henry John, or
of Charles above)
- sends her love to Ann and her brothers (the children of Henry John MOON).
- remarks on Miss Carthews poor health.
- Miss Carthews niece Miss or Mrs. Clay, come over from Scotland to visit her aunt.
- Another letter is dated Dec 12, 73 (1873) from Mrs. T (N?)ikell's Barros Street, Liskeard.
It makes reference to:
- "dear Susie", who was probably Sarah's youngest sister.
- Miss Carthew, who is apparently not well, and Dorothy is looking after.
(I don't know the connection between the Moons and the Carthews, but note that two of Edmund
Joseph's children, and one of his brother John's, have the second given name of Carthew.)
- Isabella MOON - giving her address as Perry Hall, B_____________.
- Mrs. Thompson , who had probably written to Sarah.
- "dear Margaret" and her husband & babies. (probably Sarah's sister who married Wm Wilson.)
- Ann & her brothers (probably the children of Henry John MOON)
- "dear Doro" (probably Sarah's sister who married Rolland Little)

The next letter from Dorothy A Moon is dated April 15th 74 (1874) from
Mrs. Tikell's (?) Barras Street, Liskeard.
It makes reference to:
- Miss Carthew's poor health again.
- Miss Carthew sends love to all her cousin Edmund's family
- "he was a great favourite of her and she is interested in his children".
- Mrs. Thompson and her 13 children, and her sister Isabella at Perry Hall.
(note: in Dorothy's will she refers to Isabella as being the daughter of her late brother Theophilus)
- Margaret and her healthy young family (probably Sarah's sister who married Wm Wilson.)
- Ann's brother Edmund who was unwell. (probably Henry John MOON's children)

Letter dated Feb 24/74 (1874) from cousin Isabella MOON, from Perry Hall
This letter makes reference to:
- the death of "your poor brother" (Arthur Carthew MOON died 1873)

Then a letter from Sarah's cousin Isabella.
This letter is dated Feb 19th 1877, 21 Abbey Road, St. John's Wood.
It makes reference to:
- Sarah's sister Dorothy's approaching marriage. (Dorothy married Rolland LITTLE)
- the death of Isabella's niece at age 17 from consumption - the daughter of Isabella's brother Henry.
- the death of Miss Hawkey, a cousin of Sarah's father, Edmund Jos MOON.
(Edmund Jos and Dorothy Ann's maternal grandmother was Honor Hawkey).
- the death of Miss Hawkey's niece - Bessie Drew.
- Sarah's aunt Dorothy (probably Dorothy A Moon who writes to Sarah) that Dorothy seems
comfortable in her new home.

A letter dated Nov 03, 1881 from cousin Wm MOON, solicitor,
15 Lincolns Inn Fields, London WC.
It advises that he has sent "letters of worth" to various people named. This is apparently the
inheritances from the will of Dorothy Ann MOON who wrote the above letters. She died on the
3rd of July1881 at Liskeard.

A letter dated Feb 13th 1885 from 21 Abbey Road, St John's Wood, from
cousin Isabella MOON.
This letter makes reference to:
- the birth of Sarah's "little daughter"
- marriage of Sarah's sister Susan.
- death of a young widowed niece who had remarried and gone to Singapore, died on her way
back and was buried at Colombo.
- death of the above niece's new husband a month later
- death of the above niece's father, Mr. Thompson. who had been sick for 4 years.
- death of cousin.
- Isabella sister is very sad and anxious because there are still many to provide for (presumeably
Mrs. Thompson who had 13 children)
- Miss Gibson sends her love
- regards to Mr. Craig.

A letter from cousin Isabella.
This one dated Aug 14th 1888, Grove Cottage Cookh______ Berks
England.
This letter makes mention to:
- the address above being that of Isabella's sister's, where she is staying for a while.
- Isabella is invited to stay the winter with her sister-in-law, Mrs. William Moon, 45
____________ London
- Isabella's brother John has not been heard from (a friend will make inquiries in New Zealand)
- two little boys of Isabella's niece who died 3 years before.

An undated letter from 103 Alexandra Road, St John's Wood, London from
Kate Gibson
This letter makes mention of:
- "it was thought that I might have been his (Edmund Joseph MOON - Sarah's father) wife"
- instead she (Kate) became engaged to a barrister friend of Charles Dickens and later his biographer
John Worster (?)
- she states that she is now between 70 and 80 ??
- she lives with Mrs. Thompson and her large family (formerly Catherine MOON, Isabella's sister)
- recent death of Wm Moon of Lincoln Inn Fields (solicitor, brother of Catherine and Isabella)
