- National ME/FM
Action Network
"The National ME/FM Action Network is a
registered, charitable, non-profit organization dealing with Myalgic
Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia
(ME/FM)--offering support, advocacy, education and research into the many,
varied, anomalies connected with these illnesses. We work hand in hand with
the General Public, Educators, Government Agencies, and the ME/FM Community
to achieve these goals that are so important to sufferers under duress
everywhere. Enjoy your visit, and please contact us if we can be of any
further help!"
- The FM First Step and Beyond Society of
Canada
There is help at hand for people with FMS and CFS grappling with the
Worker's compensation Board and Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped
(AISH) claims among others.
The FM First Step and Beyond Society of Canada - besides organizing day and
evening support groups also helps people with claims and will accompany them
to independent medical examinations and take notes for them, says Aloma
Mitchell.
The no. 1 cause of death for FM sufferers is suicide, so the society also
handles distress calls.
The society can be contacted at (403)
255-9536.

Disability Information for Students and Professionals
Welcome to Disability Information for Students. My name is Mike Pegg and I
am a graduate of the Developmental Services Worker Program at Georgian
College in Orillia, Canada. I was inspired to construct this page during my
years at school and have since worked hard at making this the one stop
resource for students from around the world studying to support and work
for individuals with disabilities. This site is also intended for
professionals within the field to continue to be sharp in their knowledge.
Spread the word of this site and please email me with any questions,
comments or kudos.
