We would like you to join us on Canadian_FM-ME_SIG. It is our practice to process subscriptions only after we have received the questionnaire below.
Although. CA-SIG (our nickname) is not considered a high traffic list, a DIGEST option is available to subscribers. If you have any trouble with listserv commands - setting yourself to Digest or NoMail or Mail - feel free to ask the listowners for assistance. Please do NOT send these types of messages to the list.
Even though this is not a chatty group, it *is* responsive to questions. In other words, discussions are prompted by requests for information or answers to problems. So jump right in, if you do have any queries. The group comprises some knowledgeable and experienced people who would be happy to try to help you out or to discuss any issues related to ME and/or FM. Lurking is acceptable, but you will get more out of the list if you take part. Mutual support is part of the purpose of the list.
The listowners appreciate any informative and instructive postings related to these illnesses - from the Net or from other legitimate sources. It is acceptable to forward announcements about upcoming support group meetings.
If you post something and do not receive an immediate response, do not feel slighted. Simply post your message again and/or nicely ask for a response, especially if you have a question! Sometimes it takes a day or two for someone who is ill, to remember, "Ohhhh....hey! I meant to comment on that!" (especially if s/he is on DIGEST). And...if you appreciate another's posts, please feel free to mention it on list. Thank you's are always welcome.
