BCCNA History:

  • The British Columbia Community Networks Association (BCCNA) is a non-profit society formed in 1993 to support the development of Community Computer Networks in British Columbia.
  • BCCNA Purpose:


  • To promote the establishment of Community Networks in British Columbia communities.
  • To provide support for existing Community Network organizations whithin British Columbia.
  • To avdvocate equitable access to electronic information and network services.
  • To facilitate public education and awareness of the issues surrounding access to information and network services.

  • The BCCNA Website was reconstructed by Andrew Garland, Applied Communication Program student at Camosun Collge.
