Community Network and Free-Net Associations are registered as non-profit societies and are subject to British Columbia Societies Act legislation requiring a Constitution and By-Laws. Some basic policies
are required to ensure the Community Network operates
effectively and in harmony with community expectations. Also,
larger public policy issues are currently being debated which
will impact on the future viability of Community Network services.
