Pam Murray and friends were stationed at their GSA booth on Granville Island (Vancouver, BC) during the 2008 Vancouver Wooden Boat Festival. Fortunately, or unfortunately I suppose, this was in the immediate vicinity of an area where several nautical sing outs were held. An example of one of the smaller collection of bilge rats gathering there was the Friday afternoon event when Michael Pratt, Paddy Hernon, Tom Lewis and myself ('JD') warmed up the air, the folks and ourselves with a bit of volume. Conflating their interests and message of some things mariners, whether kayakers, sailors of traditionally rigged vessels or anyone else on the water paying attention, see with this musical context and . . . this fell out.
