Hi Everyone
Most of the CAP sites in First Nation Communities located in my region are
used to assist the Volunteer Income Tax Program. Revenue Canada is using
the services of our paid employees and youth interns. This will no longer
be possible. I will try to gather data for numbers.

Hi everyone,
Just speaking with the our local organizer of the Volunteer Income Tax
Program: http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/volunteer/
We host the volunteers and CAP supports the machines, connectivity, and
technical support as it is all done online. I am sure many of you do this
too. Apparently last year half a million returns were filed through this
program, 20,000 in Nova Scotia alone, at no cost to Revenue Canada.
The volunteer organizer has spoken with the Revenue Canada Coordinator to
say that CAP is the support for the volunteers and now it's gone. She was
shocked and quite upset and is going to bring it up with her superiors. If
you have a contact, you may want to bring this to their attention.
