Here is an interesting report from CIRA on how much Canadians turn to 
the internet for food related issues, items and processes these days. 
The community investment fund did support several food related projects 
this year which helped bring more food to food banks and recover food 
that would otherwise have been wasted. You will find links to these 
projects in the report (in the latter half).

When you think about CIRA, do you also think about food? Probably not. 
But, with the holiday season upon us, CIRA’s got food on the brain so we 
decided to write a report about it. Actually, we wrote a report about 
food and the other thing we’ve always got on our minds – the internet.

As a CIRA member, we know you’re interested in Canada’s internet. Nearly 
a quarter of Canadians purchased food online in the past year. Canadians 
are ordering groceries online, using digital delivery services like Skip 
the Dishes and signing up online for meal kits. The options for 
accessing food via the internet are vast and expected to grow!
