Hi coalition members, apologies for the long silence on our end! *I’m 
reaching out because I’d like to personally invite everyone in the Get 
Canada Connected coalition to join the Affordable Internet Day of Action 
happening virtually on March 16.*

Several orgs, activists, and indie ISPs have already signed up to 
participate in the day’s activities. So far, participants include: ACORN 
Canada; Brookfield Institute for Innovation + Entrepreneurship; activist 
and author Cory Doctorow; Canada Research Chair in Internet and 
ECommerce Law Michael Geist; The Internet Society Canada Chapter; 
OpenMedia; Public Interest Advocacy Centre; Ryerson Leadership Lab; 
Samuelson-Glushko Canadian Internet Policy and Public Interest Clinic; 
and TekSavvy Solutions.

The full list of activities is still to come, meaning there is a lot of 
room to mold your participation however you'd like it. OpenMedia, for 
example, is going to be running a couple of campaign actions for members 
of the community to take calling on their MPs to address internet 
affordability. Other groups will be sharing their analysis of the 
situation, reports they’ve created, hosting virtual speakers, and other 
activities. I’d personally be really interested in hearing what other 
ideas folks in the coalition may have!

*To sign up to participate, just let me or OpenMedia’s Executive 
Director Laura Tribe know you’d like to join the day of action, and send 
through your logo. *Thank you, and I hope to hear from you.
