[Advisors] [GCC-coalition] Invitation, Affordable Internet Day of Action on March 16

Just signing on would seem to be a good thing. But the implication seems to be that we’d be “molding our participation” (i.e. contributing something specific to the event). What have we got?

So far, participants include: ACORN Canada; Brookfield Institute for Innovation + Entrepreneurship; activist and author Cory Doctorow; Canada Research Chair in Internet and ECommerce Law Michael Geist; The Internet Society Canada Chapter; OpenMedia; Public Interest Advocacy Centre; Ryerson Leadership Lab; Samuelson-Glushko Canadian Internet Policy and Public Interest Clinic; and TekSavvy Solutions.

OpenMedia, for example, is going to be running a couple of campaign actions for members of the community to take calling on their MPs to address internet affordability. Other groups will be sharing their analysis of the situation, reports they’ve created, hosting virtual speakers, and other activities. I’d personally be really interested in hearing what other ideas folks in the coalition may have!
