Hello CAP sites

We had a good turnout for the SICAN meeting at the Ukrainian Cultural 
Centre last Tuesday, October 28.   Out thanks to the Ukrainian Centre 
for hosting the gathering.

The meeting offered an excellent opportunity to discuss upcoming 
events and to listen to comments and answer questions from the 
audience. Several new participants attended the meeting.

Much of the discussion, understandably, centered around 
budget/funding considerations for the April 22, 2003 to January 31, 
2004 term.  Over the next few days all of you will be receiving your 
contracts for this year. Some have been mailed and some are being 
distributed to local sites in person.

Please sign and return the marked copy. You will find the list of 
approved expenditures included.

***Please note*** expenditures must assist with the  provision of 
Internet access to the public or assist members of the public with 
computer use.

Please remember that reimbursements can only be made on invoices 
dated between April 22, 2003 to January 31, 2004.


SICAN has agreed to co-host with Industry Canada a one day 
workshop/seminar for the South Island region.  This event will take 
place in the new year with details to be announced later.  Please 
give some thought to the items you would like to see covered on the 
program.
