Opening Statement

There are many issues challenging us as we move into the next century. It is time to face those challenges with responsible solutions. It is time to act locally and I feel the best place for me to do this is by serving on Victoria City Council.
From the desperate need in this community for rapid transit to a replacement for Memorial Arena, the solutions we must find together have to balance the needs of our citizens and the size of our wallets.
I would like to serve on city council to ensure that when my two-year old son is old enough to ask tough questions I do not have to give him feeble excuses. I know I would do a better job than those who showed themselves incapable of responsible decision making by taking this city down the arena deal garden path.

Disclaimer

While I am a proud member of CUPE 951 (office, technical and childcare workers at the University of Victoria) neither they, nor any other organization has endorsed my candidacy. I believe that municipal council is too important to be bogged down by party systems and rigid ideologies.
I have also provided informational links to organisations which I support and will provide links to any other such organisations if I hear about them. Neither the Veins of Life Watershed Society nor the Greater Victoria Electric Rail Society have endorsed my candidacy.
