                   There
is a small revival of the six metre class on the West Coast.
These boats offer an essential sailing experience that is
                    becoming more and more appreciated.

As a development class the sixes have been in the forefront
of many ground breaking ideas. The down side is that having
been built to extremes of lightness, many of these narrow
waisted, heavily ballasted boats have suffered structural
                    problems over the years.

'Cava' required a new stem, sternpost transom, ring frames,
some planking, wedge seaming and a deck re-do.
