Yes, I must dis agree with James (sorry, man!)

We have to get in their faces any way we can. Political pressure is the ON=
LY way we can adjust the Harper government's stance on the CAP program. Pl=
aying it soft will not work. Media attention and lots of e-mails/letters m=
ight.

Just my personal opinion here.

For the federal Conservatives, you're either with them or against them.

Stand with us, or stand with the pedophiles - they really do see the world =

Here is some highly recommended scholarly and 100% non-partisan reading on =

By Elizabeth May on 12 April 2012 - 8:56am

BN<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Newhart>: Mr. Prime Minister, I am so p=
leased you agreed to take my call

BN: Thank you for that, but I am not actually from Vermont=85. It was a tel=
evision show.

BN: Great, well I wanted to start by asking you about the decisions in your=
budget. It is a pretty anti-environmental budget. There is a lot in there =
for supertankers and pipelines and expanding fossil fuels, but nothing to a=
ddress the threat of climate change.

BN: No, sir. No one has ever thought I was radical before=85.. I hardly eve=
r take jets=85 not sure about foreign-funding. Does that include being an A=
merican? Is that foreign? OK=85.just calm down, I will move on.

BN: To change the topic, I am wondering why the budget says the government =
is committed to connecting Canadians by internet and then there is no more =
money for internet=85.

BN: Yes, well I see you put some money into internet and high speed access =
in the past=85.

BN: No, I wasn=92t trying to talk about on-line warrant-less access. I am n=
ot sure what that is=85

BN: I certainly do not stand with child pornographers. I don=92t sit with t=
hem either. =85 No I wasn=92t trying to make light of child pornographers o=
r=85 no, not internet predators either=85.

BN: Thanks for clearing that up, but what I wanted to know was how Canadian=
s will access the internet in communities that have relied on Community Acc=
ess (it was called the CAP programme), and now it is gone=85.

BN: So they just don=92t need the internet in remote communities?=85=85 Yes=
, I agree we are doing well by phone.

BN: I also notice you have eliminated the National Round Table on Environme=
nt and Economy. Wasn=92t that established by a previous Conservative govern=
ment? =85.. Right, not one that you liked. A bit too left-wing? I see=85.. =
I have read that your Environment Minister thinks you don=92t need the envi=
ronment and economy round table any more because it was established a long =
time ago, in a time when Canadians did not have the internet. =85. Yes, and=
he says that now you have the internet, so you don=92t need this advisory =
body=85.. No, I am not trying to trick you. I just wondered about cutting t=
he internet when the internet is replacing the round table=85..

BN: Sure, not everyone needs the internet. The important thing is that you =
have it when you need it. Yes, of course, and other peoples=92 internet too=
=85.. So, for food safety, the budget is moving information off the labels =
and on to the internet, so the people in remote communities do not need to =
read that food information? =85. No, I am not a foreign funded radical. =85=
. Yes, sir, I respect the office of Prime Minister of Canada. I am sure it =
is a very nice office=85..

BN: I apologise, absolutely, it=92s just that I find a certain amount of hu=
mour in this=85..
