In 1999 I ran for a seat on Victoria City Council. I spent less than $100 and managed to earn over 900 votes.
The web pages archived HERE were, along with a few leaflets, several all-candidates meetings, and a cable public service spot were all the tools I had to communicate with the electorate.
Having skipped the 2002 elections to concentrate on being a father to my (by then) two children I am now, Spring 2005, considering running in November to sit on the council.
